About

Hello, I’m Michael, a fine art/portrait and documentary photographer from Cincinnati. I was introduced to photography professionally in 2000. I was trained in analog lighting and cameras by an old guru, Jim Brockman. For the first few years, I practiced portrait and event photography with my good friend, Marc Wavra.

I’ve been told I’m an old soul, many times. I feel like one. But, the older I get, it kind of seems the younger I think I am. My great-grandmother proved to me at a young age-old people can be cool. And many of my friends today (do to their age) could be my parents or even my grandparents.
I have grown to love traveling and the opportunity of being a part of people’s stories. Taking their portraits and making friends. Furthermore, I come from a creative and artistic family of photographers, painters, sketch artists, and builders: photography came fairly natural to me. I owe everything to my friends and family, for they are the ones that allow me this life to adventure in.

Affording travel is never easy for me, I have to work along the way. The first trip I took created a hunger for more adventures, big and little. Travel continues to be an enlightening education about all worldly things that come from experiencing people and places I otherwise wouldn’t be privileged to consider.

The photographs tell stories to share in hopes to show you a new way of understanding or to provide an inspiration to do something great for yourself. If you would like to see and learn more about my most recent projects, reach out by email, phone, or whatever social platform you find me on.
To support my work, you may purchase images as fine art displays, schedule a portrait session, or photography service for you or your business.
