Photography has been an interperpective round-about way for me to connect deeper, more thoughfully with life. Photography came to me in my early days of meditation. I didn’t see it then, but looking back, photography and martial arts saved my life.

In this blog there are images of the aftermath from hurricane Helene that devastated North Carolina in September 2024.
I love traveling and the opportunity to learn and being a part of people’s stories. Travel builds a broader more worldly perspective that allows for in depth experiences. Taking portraits, making friends, and discovering the land has been a blessing and more of an education that I never would have recieved in school.
Since the first trip I took, affording travel has never easy or cheap. Having to working along the way seemed to amplify a hunger for more more adventurous travel. I hope to continue to be enlightened by travel and all worldly things that come from experiencing people and places at a local level.
I hope that the photographs I share show you a new way of understanding or to provide an inspiration to do something great for yourself or someone else.
