Hello, I’m Michael. I create fine art prints, portraits, and documentary travel photography. I was introduced to photography professionally in 2000. My training began with analog lighting and cameras by an old neighborhood guru named Jim Brockman. For the first few years, I practiced portrait and event photography with my good friend, Marc Wavra @marcwavra, who introduced me to the field in 2000.

I have grown to love traveling and the opportunity of being a part of people’s stories to give myself a broader worldly perspective and experiences. Taking their portraits, making friends, and discovering the lands has been a blessing. I come from a creative and artistic family with photographers, painters, sketch artists, and builders. Photography came fairly natural to me. I owe all the opportunities to my friends and family. They are the ones that allow me this life to adventure in.
Affording travel is never easy for me, I have to work along the way. The first trip I took created a hunger for more adventures. Travel continues to be an enlightening education about all worldly things that come from experiencing people and places I otherwise wouldn’t be privileged to consider.
