Colombia to Ohio, and Post Production from Traveling

Where to start? What subjects to present, what styles of images, textures and colors, nature or people, color or black and white images? How should I start telling my perspective of 20 months living in Colombia? Will anyone even read it? Should it be in form of a book or should it be individual blog post?

Taking it all in. Entering into the post processes. Writing, brainstorming, printing, and the post production.

Shooting is only half the fun

Since working in the art framing business, I completely insist on preparing my images for print and presentation. Although, if I don’t know where the final destination of the print I don’t really like framing everything. It can be so expensive to do it through frame shops.

Above are poster prints ready for display. Images there range in location from Alaska, Guyana, and Ohio.

Now, the work I have built in Colombia the last two years is being edited and organized for display while also looking for a good location to show my work. Here are a couple images that are ready for printing and or show and story telling.

What angle should I begin from? What is the take away I want readers to consider?

What questions would you like me to address about Colombia? How should it all be laid out for a final presentation?

Please let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Meeting people on the pathway of life gives an array of perspective if you stop and listen. If you take the time to put yourself in their shoes you can learn something. By photographing people and learning about their stories, I aim to share and shine a light on cultures and purpose to help others find meaning and motivation to live a positive life.
